Mission Statement

"Finding & Pursuing Life in Jesus"

Life in Jesus is not only the life we find at the time of salvation. Life in Jesus is something we’re created to grow in throughout our entire lives. Abundant life in Jesus is to be pursued every single day.

We exist to not only help people in finding their life in Jesus, but to join with them in daily pursuing life in Jesus.

Core Values

  • 1 COR. 10:31; 1 TIM. 1:17

As we grow to know more about  God through the reading and teaching of His Word, we grow in our worship of  God. At Salem, our desire is that our worship reflect an understanding of the character and nature of God and that the result will be a body of believers who are genuine and sincere in their worship of their Creator.

  • ROM. 12:9; 2 COR. 6:6, 8:8

The love, compassion, and grace we've been shown by God was not given to us for the purpose of holding onto it for ourselves. We have the opportunity and responsibility to share that compassion with the lost, hurting, downcast, and unlovable. Our desire is that we are genuine in our love for those who need it most. Genuine compassion is shown in the love of Jesus being lived out through the lives of His Followers.

  • 2 COR. 5:16-21

Because we understand the Church is God's "Plan A" for reaching the lost with the gospel, we know our role is to be intentional in sharing the message of hope with those we interact with. Our lives should be marked with passion for sharing the love of Jesus; not only because it's our "duty" but because we understand the love and grace we've been shown by God.

  • 2 TIM. 3:16, 4:1-2

As believers, we understand that we have a responsibility to know and understand God's Word, not only for our own benefit but also for the good of anyone we meet. That is why we are committed to faithfully teaching the Bible in a way that is both contextually accurate and easily understandable.

  • ACTS 2:42-47

The Christian life was not meant to be lived in isolation. God has given us the gift of the local body of believers (the church) with the purpose of using our distinct gifts and talents for the good of the whole body. We are to come alongside each other, live life together, carry one another's burdens, and rejoice in the victories together. This is not manufactured friendship. We understand the bond of the gospel unifies us to live in authentic relationship with the other believers around us.

Points of Conviction

1) The divine inspiration, inerrancy, and authority of the Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

2) The doctrine of the Trinity as historically and scripturally maintained (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

3) God the Father as Sovereign and Infinite (Jeremiah 32:17; Acts 17:24-28).

4) The deity and humanity of Jesus Christ (John 20:28; Hebrews 1:8; Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 2:14-18).

5) His virgin birth (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:34-38), sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 2:22), substitutionary death (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 5:2; 1 Peter 2:24, 25), bodily resurrection (Luke 24; Acts 2:23-32; Acts 13:29-38; 1 Corinthians 15:12-20), and glorious ascension (Acts 1:9-11; Acts 2:33-36).
